CURIOUS FEAR, written by a child on the autism spectrum, tells the story of a child who can only speak in song who must confront a teacher who is “triggered” by singing. The other play is still in development, but will be the true story of a woman living in public housing (the projects) and her fight with public housing authorities refusing to repair a toxic leak in her family’s apartment. The subjects of the plays will be part of the performance and both of these plays will seek interventions from the audience using Forum Theater. Falconworks will also open up the practice to explore different arenas (characters) who might have been represented in the play to offer other opportunities to dismantle oppression and transform the world of these characters.
